Tour Plan
Day 1: Zanzibar – Arusha Airport – Tarangire National Park – Karatu
Take a morning flight from Zanzibar to Arusha Airport, where your safari driver-guide will meet you on arrival. From there, begin your journey to Tarangire National Park, travelling through the beautiful Maasai steppe toward one of Tanzania’s most scenic parks.
Tarangire is renowned for its towering baobab trees, large elephant herds, and the Tarangire River, which attracts wildlife throughout the year. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, lions, leopards, and a wide variety of birdlife.
After a picnic lunch and game viewing, continue to Karatu for dinner and a relaxing evening at your luxury lodge.

Day 2: Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend approximately 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive.
The crater is one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife areas, with an exceptional concentration of animals within its vast volcanic caldera. Look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, hyenas, and jackals. With a little luck, you may also see the endangered black rhinoceros. The crater’s lakes and wetlands attract flamingos and other birdlife.
Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool before ascending the crater and driving back to Arusha. You will be dropped off at Arusha Airport for your return flight to Zanzibar or transferred to your Arusha accommodation, depending on your travel arrangements.
