Start the Conversation

We are in Arusha.
Your safari starts here.

Every Kisangara safari begins with a conversation — not a booking form. We take the time to understand what you want from your time in Tanzania before we propose anything. There is no obligation, no sales pressure, and no one-size-fits-all itinerary waiting to be sent.

Our office is on Sokoine Road in Arusha, in the shadow of Mount Meru and four hours from the southern gate of the Serengeti. We are on the ground. The guides who will accompany you are based here. The camps and lodges we recommend are properties we visit regularly. When you speak to us, you are speaking to people who were in the bush last week.

The best way to start is a phone call or WhatsApp message. We are available seven days a week from 08:00 to 18:00 East Africa Time — UTC+3. If you are calling from a different time zone and need an out-of-hours call, send a WhatsApp message with your preferred time and we will arrange it. Most enquiries receive a substantive written response within four hours during business hours.

How We Work

From first message
to final farewell.

The journey from enquiry to departure follows a clear process. Here is what to expect at each stage.

01

Initial Conversation

You contact us by phone, WhatsApp, or email. We ask about your travel dates, group composition, interests, and any previous safari experience. This conversation typically takes fifteen to thirty minutes. There is no fee and no obligation. The purpose is for us to understand your vision clearly enough to propose something worth your time.

02

Proposed Itinerary

Within two to three working days of our initial conversation, we send a written itinerary tailored to your specific requirements. The proposal includes day-by-day detail, accommodation recommendations with photos and our written assessment of each property, activity descriptions, and transparent pricing with a full cost breakdown. Nothing is hidden and nothing is marked up without explanation.

03

Refinement

Most itineraries go through one to two rounds of refinement. You may want to add a destination, change the accommodation style, extend a segment, or include a special experience. We revise the proposal as many times as needed until it reflects exactly what you want. There is no charge for revisions and no pressure to proceed. Some guests refine over several weeks; others book immediately. Both are entirely acceptable.

04

Booking & Confirmation

When you are satisfied with the itinerary, we send a booking agreement and request a deposit — typically twenty-five to thirty percent of the total. On receipt of the deposit, we confirm all bookings with lodges and camps, arrange vehicle allocations, and assign your lead guide. You receive written confirmation of every element within seven working days of deposit payment.

05

Pre-Departure Briefing

Two weeks before your arrival, we send a comprehensive pre-departure document covering packing recommendations, health and vaccination requirements, entry requirements, currency advice, climate forecasts for your travel period, and a detailed day-by-day schedule. Your guide is available by phone or WhatsApp from this point forward to answer any questions before you depart.

Common Questions About Contacting Us

Before you reach out.

Do I need to know what I want before I contact you?
No. Many of our guests contact us at the stage of knowing only that they want to come to Tanzania. We are experienced at drawing out preferences and requirements through conversation, and we will guide you through the decision-making process. If you know your dates and your group size, that is enough to start.
How quickly will you respond?
Email enquiries received during business hours (08:00–18:00 EAT) receive a substantive response within four hours. WhatsApp messages are typically answered within one hour. Out-of-hours messages receive a response at the opening of the next business day. We do not use automated responses — every message is read and answered by a member of the team.
Can I visit the office in Arusha?
Yes. Our office on Sokoine Road in Arusha is open Monday through Saturday from 08:00 to 18:00. If you are arriving in Arusha a day or two before your safari begins, an in-person briefing with your guide is something we actively encourage. Seeing the vehicles, meeting the team, and reviewing your itinerary in person is a good way to start your journey.
Do you handle airport transfers and Kilimanjaro/Arusha connections?
Yes. All Kisangara itineraries include airport transfers from Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport. We meet every arriving guest at the terminal — look for the Kisangara sign. We also handle internal flight bookings, train connections to the coast, and ferry transfers to Zanzibar. Nothing is left to chance.
