Kisangara Tours was founded in July 2019 by Frida Mberesero in Arusha. The idea was simple: private safaris with a clear plan, a skilled guide, and no shared vehicle unless a guest asks for it.
Too many trips felt formulaic — fixed itineraries, vague quotes, guides assigned by availability alone. Kisangara set out to do the opposite: itemised costing, guide matching, and routes that respect how Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar, and Kenya’s parks actually work on the ground.
Growth has come mainly through guests who return or recommend us, and through honest reviews — not heavy advertising. That keeps the bar high: if the experience slips, the next booking does too.
We remain Tanzanian-owned and based on Sokoine Road. Planning stays close to the team so changes in the field stay fast. Alongside private safaris and climbs, we support community and conservation efforts in northern Tanzania where we can make a practical difference.
