Begin your Tanzanian safari adventure with a pick-up from your hotel, residence, ferry station, or airport in Dar es Salaam at approximately 5:30 AM. You’ll be driven to the Dar es Salaam SGR station for a scenic train ride to the Morogoro region (1.5 hours). Upon arrival, our driver-guide will transfer you to Mikumi National Park, one of Tanzania’s most accessible and wildlife-rich parks.

After check-in, enjoy a lunch at Mikumi Cottage before embarking on an afternoon game drive. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and possibly lions along the park’s picturesque savannahs and seasonal waterholes. Capture the golden sunset lighting up the expansive landscapes before heading back to Camp Bastian Mikumi for dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, depart Mikumi around 7:30 AM for a scenic 5-hour drive to Ruaha National Park, Tanzania’s second-largest national park and a haven for wildlife enthusiasts seeking a more remote safari experience. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at your lodge and prepare for an optional Maasai village visit.

Experience the rich Maasai culture, learn about their traditional lifestyles, customs, and crafts, and interact with the locals. Later, settle in at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge, enjoying spectacular views over the park. Dinner and overnight stay are provided.

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive in Ruaha National Park, followed by a bush breakfast amidst the scenic wilderness. The park’s diverse habitats, from dry riverbeds to acacia woodlands, are home to elephants, lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and hippos, as well as over 500 bird species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch within the park, relax, and continue your afternoon game drive until sunset. Witness spectacular wildlife interactions along the Great Ruaha River, a lifeline for the park’s animals. Return to Ruaha Hilltop Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, embark on a second full-day safari in Ruaha, exploring areas not covered the previous day. Your guide will navigate diverse terrain, maximizing opportunities to spot elusive predators, large herds of herbivores, and other fascinating wildlife.

Enjoy a packed lunch within the park, relax in the shade, and continue the afternoon game drive until sunset. Return to Ruaha Hilltop Lodge for dinner and overnight stay. This day provides a deeper immersion into Ruaha’s unique landscapes and wildlife diversity.

After breakfast, depart Ruaha and embark on a 5-hour scenic drive to Morogoro City, nestled at the foot of the Uluguru Mountains. En route, enjoy views of rural villages, fertile landscapes, and rolling hills.

Check in at Morogoro Hotel, enjoy lunch and dinner, and relax in preparation for the next day’s journey to Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve). This city stop offers a brief urban interlude before returning to wilderness adventures.

After an early breakfast, depart for Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere National Park), approximately 5–6 hours’ drive from Morogoro. En route, enjoy scenic countryside views, traditional villages, and farmland.

Upon arrival, settle into Africa Safari Selous (Banda Bungalow), a comfortable lodge near the park entrance. In the late afternoon, enjoy a boat safari along the Rufiji River, spotting hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a variety of bird species. Witnessing wildlife along the river at sunset is a serene and unforgettable experience.

Start the day early with a full-day game drive across Nyerere National Park, one of Africa’s largest protected areas. Explore a variety of landscapes, including wetlands, dry grasslands, and lightly wooded forests, and spot a wealth of wildlife such as elephants, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and predators.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, then continue the afternoon game drive, capturing the beauty of the reserve’s remote wilderness. Return to Africa Safari Selous for dinner and overnight stay. This day is ideal for photographers and wildlife enthusiasts seeking a remote safari adventure.

On the final day, begin with a guided bushman walking tour before breakfast, accompanied by a trained armed ranger. Learn about survival skills, medicinal plants, tracking wildlife, and the culture of the local hunter-gatherer communities.

After breakfast, transfer to Mtemere Airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar, concluding your 8-day Tanzanian safari. This journey combines thrilling wildlife experiences, cultural encounters, and scenic landscapes for a truly unforgettable adventure.
