8 Days – Great Migration & Ngorongoro Explorer

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide. After a short briefing, you will be transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a relaxed afternoon soaking in views of Mount Meru or exploring the town at leisure. This day is designed for rest and acclimatization before the safari adventure begins.

Overnight:Parrot hotel

After breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant baobabs and large elephant herds. Enjoy a full-day game drive along the Tarangire River, where wildlife gathers to drink expect elephants, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, lions, and excellent birdlife then stop for a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon safari.

Overnight (midrange, outside the park): Tarangire Simba Lodge (Sangaiwe/Lake Burunge side), perfect for an easy onward connection the next day

After breakfast, journey through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands toward the endless plains of Serengeti National Park. As you enter the park, wildlife viewing begins immediately your transfer becomes a game drive as you cross open plains and kopje country. Spend the afternoon exploring Central Serengeti (Seronera), one of the best year-round wildlife areas, famous for resident predators including lions, leopards, and cheetahs, plus large herds of plains game. Arrive at camp in the late afternoon for check-in, then enjoy a relaxed evening under the stars.

Overnight (Central Serengeti): Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp.

This day is dedicated to tracking the legendary Great Migration. Depending on the season, you’ll head to the best migration corridors to follow vast herds of wildebeest and zebra as they graze and move across the plains often shadowed by predators. Enjoy extensive game drives with a picnic lunch in the wilderness, then continue searching for the strongest action into the afternoon before returning to camp to relax under the stars.

Overnight: Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp (Central Serengeti).

Spend another full day in the Serengeti to deepen your safari experience. Morning and afternoon game drives allow you to explore different ecosystems, from open plains to rocky kopjes. This flexibility increases chances of dramatic wildlife encounters, including big cats in action and large herbivore concentrations.

Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp (Central Serengeti)

After a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, depart toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying the changing scenery from endless plains to highland forests, with wildlife sightings possible along the way. Arrive at the crater rim in the afternoon for breathtaking panoramic views into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, then continue to the Karatu Highlands for a relaxed evening and easy positioning for an early crater start the next day.

Overnight in Karatu: Farm of Dreams Lodge.

Descend early into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. This natural amphitheater is home to an extraordinary density of wildlife, including elephants, lions, hippos, flamingos, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the crater floor before ascending and driving to Karatu for a relaxed evening.

Overnight in Karatu: Farm of Dreams Lodge.

After breakfast, drive back to Arusha with optional souvenir shopping or a short city visit if time allows. Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your international flight home, marking the end of an unforgettable Tanzanian safari.
